Christian Chivu played for both the Romania u-18 and the u-21 teams before he was promoted to the senior team. For the Romania u-18 team, Chivu scoredonce in 12 appearances during a one-year period between 1997 and 1998. Christian Chivu didn’t manage any goal in 13 appearances for the Romania u-21 team during a two-year period from 1998 to 2000.
Christian Chivu had the best part of his football career at Inter Milan in terms of success and the number of years spent. The defender signed for the Nerazzuri from fellow Italian top flight team AS Roma in a €16m deal. Christian was seriously linked to the big Spanish duo of Barcelona and Real Madrid before he left Roma to join Inter Milan in the summer of 2007. He went on to spend seven years at the San Siro before calling time on his career as a professional footballer and embracing a new life in management. Chivu is presently the Inter Milan Primavera head coach having worked his way to the position from the various youth teams.
Christian Chivu has enjoyed a rapid rise amongst the coaching staff at Inter Milan. He was part of the Inter Milan team that won an unprecedented treble at Inter Milan at the end of the 2009/10 season thereby writing his name in the history books. He was able to attain legendary status at Inter Milan as part of the treble-winning team under the self-acclaimed Special One Jose Mourinho.

Christian Chivu scored three times in 75 games for the Romania senior national team and he didn’t win any major trophy during his time in the team. Christian Chivu was in the team for a period of eleven (11) years. His debut was in 1999 and he called time on his career with the team in 2010.
Retired Romanian footballer Christian Chivu played for Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam at the start of his career as a professional footballer. Christian Chivu won three trophies during his time at Ajax including the 2001/02 Dutch Eredivisie title.

Following the signing of Raphael Varane from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid, English Premier League giants Manchester United now have themselves one of the best central defensive pairing in the league. United had one of the best defensive records in the league last season but their central defenders still showed some signs of being shaky sometimes and it cost them some goals and then some points eventually. United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær identified that area as one of the places to improve on this summer and he has now signed a new player to partner with Harry Maguire at the heart of the club’s defense in Raphael Varane.
Romanian football legend Christian Chivu has been a coach since he made the decision to call it a day with his football career at Inter Milan in 2014. He was with the Nerazzuri for seven years before his retirement. He worked with European football body UEFA as a technical observer for some time before he took up a coaching role with one of the Inter Milan youth teams in 2018.

The Italian Serie A giants were crowned the league’s Champions after a spectacular season that saw them lift the league crown after a very long time. Firmer Chelsea and Juventus manager Antonio Conte was assigned and handed the responsibility of bringing the club back to their glory days and although they were a bit unlucky in Europe, they were superb in the Serie A last season.
